A dependable source of SS 316 Coils that exhibits exceptional resistance to solutions with higher concentrations is Nandini Steel. It provides a higher carbon content and increased strength at high temperatures. Similar to other austenitic grades, they are easily brake or roll shaped and have excellent welding capabilities. They also have excellent forming characteristics. Not always is post-weld annealing necessary. A titanium stabilised, austenitic alloy with high heat resistance, stainless steel UNS S31600 Coils is frequently used for service in the 1000° to 1600°F temperature range. It is typically employed in applications with continuous and intermittent provider temperatures in the range of 800°–1500°F for carbide precipitation. With the help of the addition of titanium, it is stabilised against the development of chromium carbide.
At some stage during welding and under the specified conditions, the titanium addition decreases or avoids carbide precipitation. An air cool can be utilised to provide the strongest resistance to polythionic acid pressure corrosion cracking and intergranular corrosion at temperatures between 1500° and 1650°F. Because they may no longer be susceptible to intergranular corrosion after heating in the carbide precipitation range of 425-850°C, stainless steel WNR 1.4401 Coils are employed. Due to its inability to switch correctly during an arc of high temperature, titanium is not generally recommended as a consumable for welding.
